Meet the Team

James Foote - Creator & Publisher

James created the Old City Lowdown in 2024 with the goal of sharing local news that actually matters with other St. Augustinians. No crime, no politics, no sensationalism - just the stuff that means the most to the people that live and work in the community.

James coaches Men’s Lacrosse at Flagler College and his writing credentials include a 9-month internship at the Colorado Daily News in college and serving as the Co-Editor of the Kitty Hawk Elementary School student newspaper - Hawk Talk - for most of the 5th grade.
