Happy Thanksgiving from the Lowdown
The past five months have been a whirlwind for me personally. We launched Old City Lowdown on July 4th, sending the first edition to just 360 subscribers. Since then, I’ve experimented with send dates, formats, and content—and today, nearly 3,000 St. Augustine locals are on this journey with me. Thanks for sticking around through the change.
Starting a local newsletter was an idea I mulled over for six months, and I’m so glad I went all-in. This has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life.
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Having you “on the list” and supporting this project means more to me than you could ever know.
Wishing you a joyful Thanksgiving and an incredible holiday season!
Shop Small, Shop Local this Season
This holiday season, let’s keep it local! Many of St. Augustine’s small businesses had a slower-than-usual summer, and now’s the perfect time to show them some extra love. When you shop local, you’re not just crossing gifts off your list—you’re helping our amazing business owners, neighbors, and friends thrive. So, as you’re hunting for the perfect gift, remember: your dollars make a bigger impact when they stay right here in our community.
